Raydrop Humidifiers
Quiet cool mist for bedrooms, nurseries and plants
Raydrop humidifiers use ultrasonic vibration to turn water into a fine, cool mist. There's no heating element, no hot steam and no fan noise. Tanks range from 1L for a nightstand to 4L for rooms up to about 430 sq. ft., and the mist shuts off on its own when the water runs low.

Four Things Worth Knowing Before You Buy
Cool mist, nothing boils
A small plate vibrates fast enough to break water into a fine mist. Nothing heats up, so there's no hot steam and no warm-up wait. Mist starts within moments of switching on, which also makes cool mist the practical pick around kids.
Quiet enough to sleep next to
Bedroom models are rated around 28 to 32 dB, depending on the model, and there's no fan. You may still hear a soft bubble or gulp now and then as water drops from the tank into the base. That's normal.
Turns itself off when empty
When the water level gets too low, the mist stops instead of running dry. Low-water shut-off is standard across the core range. The 3L also has a separate timer, so it can switch off after 1, 3, 6 or 9 hours with water still in the tank.
Your water decides the upkeep
Hard tap water leaves scale on the atomizer and can settle as fine white dust on nearby furniture. Distilled or filtered water cuts down on both. Filterless doesn't mean no maintenance, though. The tank still needs a regular rinse.

- Coverage is a rated range, not a promise. Ceiling height, heating, AC, ventilation and the weather outside all change how fast a room's humidity climbs.
- A bigger tank mostly buys you fewer refills. A smaller one takes up less space next to the bed. Neither one makes the mist any better.
- Controls, voltage, aroma function and exact dimensions differ between models and revisions. Check the listing for the unit you're looking at.

- The model code (KC-RD03A, KC-RD10, KC-RD13 and so on) is the reliable way to tell similar-looking units apart. Tanks, controls and internal parts can differ between them.
- Only use essential oils in a model with an aroma or diffuser function, and put them where that model's manual says. Don't assume oil goes in the main tank.
- Several Raydrop models list warranty coverage of up to five years. Terms vary by model and seller, so the paperwork that comes with your unit is what counts.
Raydrop Reviews and Customer Photos
I bought this unit while searching for Smart humidifiers I could use for my plants. I didn't want to break the budget on something huge, and I wanted it to be a stylishly cute decoration for the living room. I also wanted it to have enough capacity to not be a hassle, and also to be acceptable for essential oils. I know I'm looking for the holy grail here, but this humidifier seemed to be the best balance of all these things. For the geeks out there, what's cool about this thing is that the power is not controlled through a digital interface, meaning that once it is in the "on" position, it can be controlled from the power source. I'm able to connect it to a generic smart plug for my Philips Hue system and control it on a schedule. This is not possible if you use a unit with an on/off button instead of this dial here. It outputs a LOT of mist. It is beautiful and I'm assuming effective. It looks like the mist cascades downward pretty heavily, but I have been using it on wooden surfaces with no noticeable moisture condensation. It only spits out wet droplets when I take the lid off to refill. Refilling is super simple. You don't need to remove the tank or drag the whole thing to a sink. I just fill up a Brita filter all the way and fill it up at night. I let it run continuously without turning it off for a week at a time without any issues. The only inconvenience is that even on the lowest setting it can barely last a full 24 hours, so it feels like I'm always filling it up. As long as it's part of your routine it's no big deal. This thing is actually excellent for essential oils. Just put a few drops in and it instantly fills the room with the smell. The scent disappears relatively quickly, but its comparable to other diffusers. I let it sit with a little water for a couple weeks without using it and it did accumulate nasty pink mold like you should expect. I took it to the sink, scrubbed it with a sponge and soap, and that stuff comes right off. I ran a vinegar solution through it to make sure the insides were more or less sanitary, and then it was right back to normal and stays clean. You should expect some maintenance. Don't buy a humidifier or diffuser if you're going to throw it away once you let it sit for a week all damp. Overall I love this thing. I think it looks great in my home

Just received, exact specs, works well, easy to use and holds almost a gallon, says 3 liter but I believe 1 liter above fill line empty are, held 4 1/2 bottles water so not constant refill, been running 6 hours on high down an inch and a half. LIGHT CHANGES, NOT 1 SINGLE COLOR, CAN ADJUST SIDE VIEW FOR BRIGHT OR DIM SIDE. MY ONLY NOTICE... is that the operation lights don't stay on. and u lightly press>electronic touch, easily see when setting but to see what setting you set have to press button to get operation lights back on. NO BIG DEAL there, easy to operate and for the price it has it all. appears will be easy to clean. wanted and needed for awhile. Good buy today!
me
I bought two of these last year and a third this year. They are way easier to fill, less messy, less accident prone (I've knocked my old ones over making huge messes before) and easier to clean than any of the more expensive cool mist humidifiers I've bought at the drug store. I will say of the first two I bought, one had a slight crack in the tank but it was above the fill mark and hasn't caused me any problems. The other one I bought last year also cracked recently and is a little louder than it used to be but is still running and not leaking. We use our humidifiers in the bedrooms and living room daily for about 6months out of the year. We have hard water and do not use distilled water and it has not effected their functionality and the minerals don't seem to build up they way they did in our old humidifiers, it could be because they are easier to clean. When I came back to buy my third, I noticed the reviews for this product had shifted-perhaps the company needs to work on their quality control? I've had this third humidifier for a couple months now and it still works great. I definitely recommend.

I always had to buy a new humidifier every year until I got this one. Others just get moldy. Because it is one where you pour it on top, it drys better, and is easy to use. (I use a cup to fill it up, so it can stay in one spot by my bed) When I am done using it, or every couple days, when sick, I have two on rotation. I dump it out and take it completely apart to dry on a towel by the sink for a day or two. This helps to completely dry and keep from getting moldy. I store this in a high shelf in the closet, so when I dropped it a pice did break sadly, so Not indestructible, but that was on me, not them.

I bought one of these 3 years ago and I'm back to buy another one! I still have it and it still works. I haven't had any issues with cleaning it...just do it regularly. The most output is great. It's quiet. It has a little hum to it which I like and I keep it right next to me on my nightstand. If it was further away, I probably wouldn't notice it. So if you like white noise, you probably won't mind it. My son was sick so I brought it onto his room and he loves it. So here I am buying another one. 5 stars 🤩

I was skeptical of purchasing but the price was very reasonable so I purchased it despite some of the reviews. Pleasantly surprised as this little humidifier is a beast. It spews a fine mist of humidity almost like a fog consistency is the best way I can describe the output. It is a small unit but depending on the setting you select will determine if it works all night. I tried it at the very high setting and it did not last until morning. But I changed the setting to about half it did last until morning. The unit turns itself off when water runs out. I gave it 4 stars on noise level because if you are a light sleeper when the unit puts water into the base it sounds like you are pouring from a bottle going, gluck, gluck, gluck. If you can sleep thru rock n roll music you'll have no problem with the noise. I haven't cleaned it yet but looks easy enough, not a complicated unit. Not sure how long it will last but worth the price and the humidity it provides.

Setting Up and Cleaning a Raydrop
- 1
Pick a level, water-resistant spot
Keep it off carpet, towels and anything soft that could block the air intake underneath. If you can, set it 2 to 4 feet off the floor and point the mist away from walls, bedding, curtains, wood furniture and electronics.
- 2
Fill with cool water, up to the max line
Don't use hot water, and don't overfill. Too much water can cut mist output or get into parts that are supposed to stay dry. Fill and assemble it first, then plug it in.
- 3
Start low and watch the humidity
The EPA suggests keeping indoor humidity around 30% to 50%. Start on a low setting and only turn it up if the room stays dry. If windows fog up or nearby surfaces get damp, turn it down. A cheap digital hygrometer takes the guesswork out.
- 4
Use distilled or filtered water if you can
Tap water works, but hard water leaves scale inside and can show up as white dust around the room. Low-mineral water cuts down on both and means less descaling.
- 5
Rinse often, descale when you see buildup
Pour out old water instead of topping it up. If scale shows up, white vinegar on the tank and atomizer will loosen it, following your model's manual. Never submerge the base or pour water into the air outlet. Keep it out of the dishwasher unless the manual says otherwise.
- 6
Dry it completely before storing
At the end of the season, clean it, let every part air-dry, and store it empty. Water left sitting in a closed tank is how odors and mold get started.
Quick fixes
Less mist than before? Scale on the atomizer is the usual cause. Clean it, check that nothing is blocking the air intake underneath, and make sure the mist tube and nozzle went back in the right way after cleaning.
White dust on furniture? That's minerals from the water, not something coming from the humidifier itself. Switching to distilled water is the easiest fix.
Water collecting around the unit? Turn the mist down first, then move it farther from walls and furniture. If windows stay wet even on low, the room may not need more moisture right now.
Leaking from the base or a new grinding noise? Unplug it and stop using it rather than restarting it again and again. That's a warranty or return case.
About Raydrop
Raydrop is a home appliance brand that mostly makes humidifiers. The lineup is all ultrasonic cool mist, built for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, living rooms and indoor plants. It runs from 1L units that fit on a nightstand to 4L models that can go well past a full night on one tank.
The Raydrop trademark has been in commercial use in the US since 2019 and was federally registered in 2020 for humidifiers and related home appliances. You'll sometimes see it written as "Ray Drop," but it's one word.
Raydrop builds different humidifiers for different rooms instead of making one design do everything. The 1L keeps the footprint small. The 3L top-fill model cuts down on refills without getting bulky. The 4L handles bigger rooms. The core models all share the same basics: quiet cool mist, adjustable output and automatic shut-off when the water runs low.
Current listings for several models, including the 1L, 1.7L, 2.2L, 2.5L and 3L ranges, show warranty coverage of up to five years. Terms can differ by model, production revision and seller. Keep your order details and the model number handy in case you need support.
Raydrop Humidifier FAQ
Raydrop is a home appliance brand focused primarily on humidifiers for bedrooms, nurseries, home offices, plant areas, and other indoor spaces. The range includes compact personal humidifiers as well as larger models with tanks up to 4 liters, adjustable mist output, automatic shut-off, timers, top-fill designs, and fragrance functions on selected models.
Raydrop humidifiers use ultrasonic technology to turn water into a fine cool mist. A vibrating element inside the humidifier breaks the water into microscopic droplets that are released into the room without boiling the water. Mist begins shortly after the unit is switched on, and output can be adjusted on most models.
Choose the tank size based on room size, available surface space, and how often the humidifier should need refilling. The compact 1L model is designed for smaller rooms and spaces up to about 200 sq. ft. The 3L model covers up to about 350 sq. ft., while the 4L version is rated for rooms up to approximately 430 sq. ft. Larger tanks generally provide longer runtime between refills.
Runtime depends on the model and mist setting. The 3L Raydrop humidifier can run for up to 36 hours on its lowest setting. The 4L model provides up to about 30 hours on low and around 15 hours on high. Compact models have shorter runtimes because they hold less water and are intended for smaller spaces.
Yes. Many Raydrop humidifiers are designed specifically for overnight use and operate at approximately 28 to 32 dB, depending on the model. The ultrasonic system produces mist without the louder fan noise common in some air appliances. Occasional water movement or light bubbling inside the tank can still be normal during operation.
Raydrop cool mist humidifiers can be used in nurseries when positioned correctly. Cool mist does not require boiling water, so there is no hot steam outlet. Place the humidifier on a stable surface outside a child's reach, keep the power cord inaccessible, and monitor room humidity so the space does not become excessively damp.
Yes. A Raydrop humidifier can increase the humidity around plants that prefer more humid conditions, particularly during winter or in air-conditioned rooms. Position the unit far enough away that visible mist is not continuously landing on the leaves. The goal is to raise surrounding humidity rather than keep the plant wet.
For most homes, relative humidity around 30% to 50% is a practical target. The exact comfortable level depends on temperature, ventilation, climate, and personal preference. If windows or nearby surfaces begin collecting condensation, reduce the mist output or shorten the operating time. A separate hygrometer provides a more reliable measurement than judging humidity by the visible mist.
Tap water can be used, but hard water may leave mineral scale inside the humidifier and produce white mineral dust on nearby surfaces. Distilled or purified water contains fewer dissolved minerals and reduces this buildup. In hard-water areas, using low-mineral water can also reduce how frequently the ultrasonic atomizer needs descaling.
Several Raydrop models are filterless and do not require disposable water cartridges. This removes the recurring cost of replacement filters, but the humidifier still needs regular cleaning. Minerals can collect on the tank and ultrasonic element even in a filterless design, especially when hard tap water is used.
Only Raydrop models specifically designed with an aroma or diffuser function should be used with essential oils. The 3L KC-RD13 and selected other models support fragrance use, but oil placement can differ between designs. Do not add essential oil directly to the water tank unless the instructions for that exact model specifically allow it, since oil can damage components not designed for direct exposure.
A humidifier used regularly should be rinsed frequently rather than allowing old water to remain in the tank for long periods. Mineral deposits should be removed as they appear, particularly around the ultrasonic atomizer. White vinegar can be used for descaling on compatible parts according to the instructions for the specific model. The electrical base should never be submerged in water.
Reduced mist is often caused by mineral buildup on the ultrasonic atomizer, a blocked air inlet, incorrect assembly after cleaning, or an unsuitable water level. Clean visible scale first and make sure the air intake is unobstructed. The tank, mist tube, nozzle, and any removable internal parts should also be seated correctly before the humidifier is restarted.
Most current Raydrop humidifiers include automatic low-water shut-off. When the water level falls below the operating threshold, the unit stops producing mist instead of continuing to run dry. Some electronic models also include separate timers, allowing the humidifier to switch off after a selected number of hours even when water remains in the tank.
Raydrop advertises warranty coverage of up to five years on several humidifier models. Exact terms can vary by product, region, seller, and production revision, so the warranty information supplied with the individual humidifier should be checked after purchase. Keeping the model number and order details makes it easier to identify the correct product if support is needed.
Match the Tank to the Room
For a small bedroom or a desk, go with the 1L or 1.7L. If you want a full night and then some, the 3L top fill is the one. For a bigger room or fewer refills, get the 4L. Once it's running, set the mist by what a hygrometer reads, not by how much fog you see.
